Plot: “Basket of Fruit” is a still life painting by the Italian Baroque master Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. This choreographic project is inspired by this art work, focusing on the theme of the fading beauty, and the natural decaying of all things. There is a true, deep beauty that is hidden by the cycle of life. The video’s soundtrack recalls the presence of “stains”, negative parts of human beings similar to the apple stain of the “Basket of Fruit”. Our stains, our weaknesses are the only things that make us vulnerable, passionate and unique.
